Integration and application of knowledge in civic social and personal contexts
My internship class
How I can apply integration of knowledge in civic, social and personal context is through the skills and new ideas I learned in my internship class. The skills and ideas my teacher taught me helped me not only in gaining a better vocabulary to use during an interview for a job but also for an internship that I’ve wanted to be in. I knew what the interviewer expected from me and I knew what things to say to catch their attention. It wasn’t only the vocabulary that I needed, it’s also how I acted, in a friendly confident attitude that told the interviewer that I truly wanted to work for them. Giving them a firm hand shake and smiling would help out most times as well. Using all that I’ve been taught in my internship class helped me get an internship spot at a dentist. I sometimes get to see some trauma in the mouth and also I get to not only watch but to learn how to use the tools and how they work and the names. At first I wanted to be a medical surgeon because I found medicine and trauma so thrilling and interesting. It is something I see myself doing as my future career. But I couldn’t find an internship at any medical clinic I started to lose hope but until if found an opening opportunity at my dentist and he accepted me in becoming his intern.
